Last weekend Steve had the concept that it was time to include world string lights to the back outdoor patio. Particularly since we were starting to see them on clearance in the garden area of almost all over. And, according to Rachel, my teenager least most likely to be found in the garden … it was the coolest thing we have done outdoors yet. The globe lights just keep making me seem like we’re sitting outside an Airstream on trip in 1955. Or at a cool city outdoor dining establishment. Or in Austin. Convinced? So take a look at all these outside globe string lights concepts and be inspired!
We acquired two strings of globe lights from Target at less than $15, and strung them to our roofing system edge and back to the support poles for our shade sails. We now know that there are some at Costco that are a lot nicer and more heavy duty, perhaps a little more pricey but actually we have seen them boil down in rate drastically in the last couple years. However we just enjoy the glow and the outdoor ambiance that these outdoor world string lights release!
We really wish to begin you off with a Do It Yourself tutorial … In the event you do not have currently existing assistances, ‘Bright July’ shows you how to make some simple support poles for globe lights. Now that you have this down, the rest is pure motivating!
This next idea is from ‘The Haystack Needle’, and goes to show you can get that sweet European restaurant taste even if your outdoor area is a little alley. Or possibly particularly because it’s a small alleyway!
From ‘Apartment or condo Treatment’, this beautiful home in So Cal covers the outdoor globe string lights through a rustic overhang, and makes them much more lovely than by themselves.
Use simply a number of hairs of globe lights over an eating area … takes the dining area away from anything related to boring, particularly for a night mixed drink or cup of tea.
From ‘Brick and Mortar’, this is another example of how you can use world lights in a small space, and make big effect.
From a backyard makeover from ‘Hometalk’, this yard area would not be the exact same without these lights. Don’t think me? Cover the top of the picture, then uncover … see? These world lights look like the type that you can get at costco which as I mentioned are a little more strong. They even have LED variations now!
From Beth at ‘Local Milk’, who, btw, has actually won many awards for her food and photography blog site (Check out! Fantastic!) … these are again a great example of how simpleness works with these world string lights … you don’t need some big screen like Christmas on steroids … And you do not have to just utilize them up above! Line a deck railing or deck with them … utilize creativity!
Lastly, from Pinterest, this is one last little motivation. Sorry, couldn’t discover the source for this picture.
